Novel Coronavirus

Novel Coronavirus
If you have travelled to overseas in the past 14 days and you have symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or breathlessness, please avoid contact with other people.
Do not go into crowded places, or take public transport.
If you are unwell, you can phone Berry Medical Centre, your nearest emergency department or the healthdirect helpline on 1800 022 222 for advice.
HealthDirect has a team of public health doctors who can assess, triage and notify emergency departments in advance.
Do not go to your GP. General practices are not equipped to handle a case of this virus.
If you do have the infection, going into a general practice will put doctors, staff and other patients at risk.
If you have suspected novel Coronavirus, you will require specialised investigation, isolation and treatment in a hospital.
We understand that advice will evolve as more information about the incubation period and the transmission of the virus emerges.
